The Pulpit Rock is a mountain plateau 604 metres above the Lysefjord. This is a hiking trip worth every step to get there.

This exciting hiking tour starts in Stavanger. The ferry will bring you from the Fiskepir Terminal over to Tau, where you will go onboard the coach which takes you to the Pulpit Rock cabin. From the cabin you will go by foot to the Pulpit Rock. The hiking tour takes approx. 1 ½ - 2 hours each way.
At the Pulpit Rock it is possible to get a view which is definitely worth every step on the hiking trip. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and take a deep breath of fresh air. This is Norwegian nature as you know from all those postcards.
Be aware that the hiking tour requires proper shoes and hiking clothing. We recommend that you bring with you lunch and enough water for the tour. Information about departure hours for the return from the Pulpit Rock cabin will be announced on the coach.
