More information about the tour

On this 3 hour sightseeing tour with boat on the Lysefjord, you will witness a great deal of rare and stunning sights. The roundtrip begins at Fiskepirterminalen in Stavanger, view map. Along the fjord you may experience majestic waterfalls, goats grazing in the steep mountainsides, harbour seals, idyllic island and stunning nature.

One of the really great attractions is of course the Pulpit Rock. The Pulpit Rock is jutting out 600 metres above the Lysefjord, and it is a flat-topped rock butress measuring 25 m x 25 m. According to a legend Pulpit Rock will fall down when seven sisters marry seven brothers from the same district. Lets hope it does not happen very soon!

At the Lysefjord you will also visit the 'Fantehola'. History tells us that a band of vagabonds on the rund from the sheriff sailed into Fantahola (Vagabond Cave). They had not paid their taxes, so the sheriff followed them. The vagabonds sprang ashore and climbed up the mountainside. When the sheriff tried to catch up with them, the vagabonds threw rocks at the sheriff who found it best to flee. The vagabonds escaped paying their taxes.

We reserve the right to cancel the tour when minimum number of participants (15) is not achieved.
